Co-Productive Strategies and Grassroots Responses to COVID-19 Pandemic in Urban Settings of Zambia

Abstract This paper focuses on the systemic and grassroots response to COVID-19 health crisis in urban settings of Zambia. The research examines cooperative strategies local actors – traditional practitioners, pastors prophets Pentecostal Spirit-type churches non-governmental state organizations addressing Zambian Lusaka Livingstone. explores levels perception conceptualization disease held by community authorities (cultural brokers) explains how they may differ from state-orchestrated medical explanations recommendations. authors argue that cultural epistemologies, which are activated times crisis, can be seen as co-productive executive pandemic.
